报告内容

- Short introduction to Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, including presentation of research group.

- Review of work related to the application of anti-resonant hollow-core fibers in gas sensing: examples of different sensor setups, including Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy, Light Induced Thermoelastic Spectroscopy and Optical Frequency Comb Spectroscopy.

- Short review of our work related to laser processing of hollow-core fibers to enable fast and efficient diffusion-based gas exchange inside the fiber core.

报告人简介

Piotr Jaworski received his PhD in Physics from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK in 2015. During his PhD studies he was working on the development of antiresonant hollow-core fibers for the delivery of high peak power laser light and its application to precision micro-machining. After that he joined in 2015 Lukasiewicz Research Network - PORT Institute as a research engineer in Laser Sensing Laboratory. Since than his research work has been focused on laser-based gas sensing using both bulk optics-based and hollow-core fibers-based gas spectrometers. In 2018 he became the Head of Laser Sensing Laboratory in PORT. In 2019 he joined the Laser Spectroscopy Group at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor focusing his research on gas sensing using antiresonant hollow-core photonic crystal fibers. He is an author and co-author of 80 research articles, conference papers and presentations and has been a PI in 2 research grants.
