In this talk, fused silica glass in Corning Companyfor high power and high energy laser system will be introduced. Then the applications of Corning fused silica glass in high energy laser projects will be reviewed.

Dr.-Ing. Horst W. Apel got his doctoral degree of Chemistry in Technische Universität Darmstadt. Now he issenior manager new business development Europe, Middle-East, Africa & Russia in Corning GmbH, Wiesbaden.He has dozens of publications and press releases in a variety of Journals, such as:

•American Academy of Ophthalmology

•GIT Laborzeitschrift, Laborpraxis

•Melliand International Textile Reports

•Spectroscopy Europe.
