       报告摘要:

Modern compute hardware allows for simulating laser plasma interaction interactively and for integrating physical effects that could not be accounted for previously. I will show how efficient plasma simulations may pave the way towards predictive simulations of laser matter interaction.

       报告人简历:

Michael Bussmann is head of the Junior Group Computational Radiation Physics at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. After receiving his PHD from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, working on laser cooling of relativistic ion beams he moved to Dresden to work on laser matter interaction theory. His current research interests focus on laser-driven sources of ion, electron and X-ray beams and the dynamics of plasmas on the atomistic time scale. His group develops simulation codes for laser matter interaction, beam transport, radiation in plasmas, high-power laser development and in-situ data analysis.
