Referee for numerous scientific journals (publications), projects (e.g. INTAS, SEA Area, Soros, LULI, European “LASERLAB”), selections comities (e.g., professor positions), evaluations of laboratories.

Research stays abroad

Since the year 1990 I have been about twenty times abroad for research stays in international appreciated universities and research centers, e.g. Lawrence Livermore, Los Alamos, University of Maryland, University of Tokyo, University of Nagoya, Research Center RIKEN, Research Center Kurchatov, Lebedev, PALS, University of Bruxelles, Max-Planck, DESY). During this time I stayed about 18 months in Russia, 10 month in Japan, 7 months in United States and 5 month at the Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Germany.

VI. Research Interests

Non-equilibrium radiative properties of matter, atomic physics in dense matter, spectroscopy and diagnostics, non-Maxwellian phenomena (supra-thermal electrons, fast ions), high energy density matter, exotic states of matter (e.g. transparent metals), strongly coupled plasmas, Warm Dense Matter, phase transitions solid-Warm Dense Matter-Dense Plasmas, charge exchange

Fusion Science (inertial and magnetic fusion), interaction of swift heavy ions beams with matter, high energy density optical lasers, X-ray Free-Electron-Laser     • Atomic physics code developments
