Advances in fiber optic systems are crucial for both secure data transmission on the Internet and biomedical endoscopic imaging. However, there are challenging dispersion and scattering effects in multicore and multimode fibers. Physics-informed deep learning enable to correct for scattering, resulting in a significant improvement in data rates and image quality. The advances are promising for the backbone of the internet, quantum technology of second generation, and biomedical cancer diagnostics and therapy. |
